El-Sisi to Receive Mohammed bin Salman in Cairo for Talks on Egyptian-Saudi Relations and Regional Developments

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is set to receive Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Cairo on Tuesday during a working visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and advancing consultations on key regional and international developments.

According to a statement issued Monday, September 14, by the Egyptian Presidency, the visit will begin with a bilateral meeting between President El-Sisi and the Saudi Crown Prince, followed by expanded discussions attended by delegations from both countries.

The talks will focus on ways to further strengthen Egyptian-Saudi relations and expand cooperation across various fields, while also providing an opportunity for the two sides to exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

President El-Sisi is also scheduled to host a luncheon in honor of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman as part of the official program of the visit.

Strengthening a Strategic Partnership

The Egyptian-Saudi relationship remains a central component of Arab political and strategic cooperation. The upcoming talks are expected to address opportunities to deepen bilateral coordination and advance cooperation in areas of shared interest.

The meeting also comes amid significant developments across the region, making continued political consultation between Cairo and Riyadh particularly important.
