Kuwaiti Journalists Syndicate Honors the Kuwait Red Crescent Society in Recognition of Its Humanitarian and Relief Efforts

As part of recognizing the humanitarian and relief efforts undertaken by Kuwaiti national institutions, the Kuwaiti Journalists Syndicate, headed by Dr. Zouhair Al-Abbad and accompanied by a high-level delegation, honored the Kuwait Red Crescent Society, represented by its Chairman of the Board of Directors, Ambassador Eng. Khaled Mohammed Suleiman Al-Maghames, in appreciation of the humanitarian, relief, and volunteer activities and services provided by the Society, as well as its ongoing efforts to support the most vulnerable and needy groups.

This honor comes in recognition of the role played by the Kuwait Red Crescent Society in providing humanitarian and volunteer assistance and aid to those in need inside and outside the State of Kuwait, based on its humanitarian mission and its commitment to reaching affected and most needy groups without discrimination, reflecting the values of solidarity, social cohesion, and humanitarian action that characterize the State of Kuwait.

The Society’s humanitarian and relief efforts have contributed to strengthening the presence of the State of Kuwait in the field of humanitarian action at the international level and consolidating its positive image as a state that supports humanitarian and relief initiatives and plays an active role in supporting affected communities and groups in various countries around the world.

On the sidelines of the honoring ceremony, a number of areas of joint cooperation between the Kuwaiti Journalists Syndicate and the Kuwait Red Crescent Society were discussed, along with a range of proposals and ideas related to humanitarian and media work, in a manner that contributes to strengthening cooperation between the two sides and developing mechanisms for highlighting humanitarian and relief efforts through the media.

The meeting emphasized the important role that media outlets can play in supporting humanitarian action, raising awareness of relief initiatives and projects, and conveying the messages of humanitarian institutions to the public, thereby enhancing community awareness of the importance of volunteering, solidarity, and humanitarian responsibility.

This meeting reflects the commitment of both sides to building effective bridges of cooperation that bring together humanitarian action and professional media work, serving humanitarian causes and strengthening the presence of Kuwaiti initiatives at both the local and international levels.
