Dubai, United Arab Emirates, August 23, 2026: As preparations continue for the upcoming edition of the Arab Media Summit 2026, scheduled to take place from September 15 to 17 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, and under the direction of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, the Dubai Press Club, the organizer of the Summit, announced the addition of nine new entities to the list of sponsors for this edition. They are: the Roads and Transport Authority, Transport Partner; Dubai Chambers, Global Trade Partner; ENOC Group, Energy Partner; Dubai Customs, Trade and Economy Partner; Emirates, Aviation Partner; Emirates NBD, Banking Partner; Dubai Courts, Pioneering Partner; Dubai Municipality, Future Cities Partner; and “du,” Communications Partner.

Positive Impact of the Media

Her Excellency Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice President and Director General of the Dubai Media Council, President of the Dubai Press Club and Chairperson of the Organizing Committee of the Arab Media Summit, welcomed the strategic partnership between the Summit and its sponsoring entities and what it represents in terms of a deep understanding of the role of the media and its significant impact in directing societies toward the future, as well as the importance of the Summit as the largest specialized professional event bringing together leading political, intellectual and media figures under one roof to discuss ways to enhance the contribution of the media as a key driver of development and prosperity in the Arab world.

Media as a Development Partner

His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai, affirmed that the media are an essential partner in the development process, given their role in transmitting knowledge, enhancing community awareness, highlighting achievements and keeping pace with economic, social and technological transformations. He noted that the Arab Media Summit represents an important platform for strengthening dialogue and exchanging expertise, as well as exploring opportunities offered by modern technologies and artificial intelligence in developing media content, thereby contributing to enhancing the competitiveness of Arab media and their ability to meet the requirements of the future.

He said that the Authority’s continued partnership with the Arab Media Summit comes in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, “may God protect him,” which regards the media as an active partner in achieving sustainable development, and reinforces the leading position that Dubai has established as an influential center for the Arab media industry and a platform that brings together media leaders, decision-makers and experts to explore the future of media and discuss the rapid transformations in the media landscape in light of successive technological and digital developments. He noted that this partnership confirms the importance of integration between the media and transport sectors, as well as the role of the integrated and sustainable transport system in supporting the sustainable development taking place in the Emirate of Dubai, strengthening its ability to host major events and providing participants and visitors with a smooth and safe mobility experience.

It is worth noting that the 2026 edition of the Summit is supported and sponsored by 13 national entities. It is worth noting that the upcoming edition of the Arab Media Summit will be the largest ever since the launch of its first components in 2021.
